Biography Experience: With an interest in music and other creative endeavors since childhood, I have been making photographs since I discovered this wonderfully-expressive medium in high school. I have been shooting professionally (and for me) for over 20 years. I have also had the rewarding pleasure of sharing photography with students for 20 years, having taught a variety of college courses in commercial illustration, fine art photography, color and black and white, traditional and contemporary, as well as digital imaging / Photoshop. Education: Master of Arts Degree in Photography and Education from Cal. State Long Beach, and many courses taken after graduation at a variety of schools / colleges to broaden my background in several areas of the photographic arts. Philosophy: Since I enjoy photography, doing it as a career is both fun and rewarding. But... it is work. I approach each job as a problem-solving challenge. I work with my clients to get the result they have envisioned... or... they let my vision guide us. Pricing: I am told my prices are "very reasonable", "very good", "great!". I believe my prices are "fair". Everyone likes a bargain, including me. If my clients receive photographs that exceed their expectations for a price they feel is fair, everyone is happy. Happy is good. Because I have two children, I choose to maintain a home office/studio. This lowers my overhead, thus allowing me to reduce my prices to you.
